Current Fundraising Project - Trailer Replacement Mar 2020
We are currently fundraising to replace the two road trailers that we use to transport our rescue boats to and
from events with. Both trailers are reaching the end of their economic lifespan and we are spending increasing
amounts of money each year just to keep them in servicable condition. If you can help us fundraise the £8,600
to replace the trailers please do get in touch by emailing email@example.com
Past Fundraising Projects - Rescue Boat Re-power Project Feb 2020
The Trustees of Northern Exposure Rescue are very pleased to announce that following a period of fundraising, The National Lottery Community Fund and Trinity House Corporate Charity have enabled us to proceed with the re-power of our principal rescue boat ‘Western Protector’.
The funds will cover the replacement and installation of the two outboard engines, where the current ones have come to the end of their serviceable life.
Following consultation, the engines will be supplied and installed by E.P Barrus Ltd, who are the UK importer and supplier of Mercury outboard engines. Northern Exposure are very grateful to the advice and guidance provided by Barrus Special Projects Division.
The new outboard engines will be significantly more reliable, more efficient to run and reduce our emissions whilst our volunteers support community and sporting events across the UK.
In 2019 Northern Exposure Rescue volunteers enabled over 17,000 people safely get afloat as part of sporting or community events across the country. This funding will allow even more people to stay safe when afloat and reduce the risk of injury and drowning.
